Sherry L. Mollett Obituary (1937 - 2017)

SHERRY L. (GROENKE) MOLLETT Age 79, passed away April 19, 2017 in Denver, CO after a brief illness. She had recently moved from North Canton to Aurora, CO to live with her granddaughter and family. Sherry was born December 15, 1937 to the late Robert, Sr. and Lucille (Stockert) Groenke. Sherry was a graduate of Lehman High School and Aultman School of Nursing. She spent her entire career devoted to helping others as a Registered Nurse until her retirement. Over the years, she was employed by both Aultman Hospital and Mercy Medical Center, as well as the University of Notre Dame and the University of Michigan critical care units for neo-natal care. Later in life she was employed by the Veterans Administration and served in VA hospitals in Brecksville, OH, Tampa-St. Petersburg, FL, Miami, FL and Phoenix, AZ. She was also involved with many blood drives through her husband Thomas’ employment with the American Red Cross. In addition to her parents, Sherry was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Thomas, her sister, Phyllis Groenke and her son, Michael Mollett. She is survived by her granddaughter Michelle (Chris) Read, her great-grandson Chase Read, brothers Robert (Vickie) Groenke, Jr. of Ashland, OH, Dennis (Millie) Groenke of Bedford, VA, David (Dianne) Groenke of Canton, several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
