Annie Ruth Long Born September 26, 1934 to Anthony and Ola Mae Long in Massillon Ohio the eldest of three children. A loving aunt and devoted friend. Annie was a military wife in her youth which allowed her to live in different places even outside of the United States and returned home later in her life to Massillon. Worked at Ecko Housewares in Massillon, Ohio a number of years until the closing of the plant, and at Fisher Foods also in Massillon Ohio. Past president of the missionary board and usher board of Mt. Calvary Church. Annie had a talent for cooking that was passed down from her mother. Annie was known for her greens and dressing! From Annie's youth loved hot peppers and never gave up spicy foods! Volunteering was one of her passions she expressed in the community serving food and giving away clothes to others less fortunate. Proceeded in death by her father, Anthony Long, mother, Ola Mae Long, sister, Emma Watson, brother-in-law, Robert Watson, brother, William B Long. A legacy of service is left to nephew Anthony (Tony) Watson of Massillon Ohio, great niece Ashley (Terrence) Anderson of Massillon Ohio, nephew Terrence (Sara) Long of Oakland California, niece Lisha Watson of Canton Ohio, niece Celina Johnson of B.C. nephew Christopher Long of B.C Homegoing celebration will be Saturday, Nov. 27, 2021 at 11 am at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Massillon, OH where visitation will be from 10-11 am before service. Pastor Robert Beach officiating. Entombment will follow in Sunset Hills Burial Park.
