Betty J. Gossmar Obituary (1921

Betty J. Gossmar Jan. 27, 1921 – Dec. 7, 2016 Betty Gossmar passed away December 7th, 2016. Born in 1921 to the late Henry and Daisy Gossmar. Betty graduated from Lehman high school and worked in the accounting field for the government, in Cleveland, Miami Fla., and retired from the social security offices in Canton. She resided at the Canton Christian Home where she volunteered in many ways and worked in their accounting department. Betty was a member of First Christain Church, and Eastern Star. Betty is survived by her sister Mary Ott, niece Judy (Bob) Haas of Huron, nephews Dave (Elaine) Ott, and Dennis Ott of Canton, 10 great nieces and nephews, and 12 great great nieces and nephews. Betty loved family get togethers, and will be missed by all. She always had a smile and kind words for everyone, and was loved by all. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother-in-law Dalton Ott, and Nephew John Ott. Funeral services will be held in the Chapel of the Canton Christian Home on Tuesday December 13, 2016 at 11 am with Rev. Jeffrey Bullock officiating. She will laid to rest in Forest Hill Cemetery next to her parents. There will be no calling hours.
