Bobby G. Burns Sr.

June 9, 1930 - August 26, 2017

Bobby G. Burns Sr. 87, born June 9'h 1930, of Louisville passed away Sat. Aug. 26 after an extended illness. He was born in Belle, W.Va and raised in Roan County. Bob served in the W.Va National Guard and served in the US Navy. He then moved to Stark County and worked at the Berger division of Republic Steel for 36 years. He was the oldest member of the Louisville Sportsman Club and was a 40 year member of the Masonic Lodge in Louisville. Bob was preceded in death by his first wife Dorothy McCroskey (Burns, Valentine) his second wife Gladys Horn Burns, and his brother Orvill Lee Bums. Bob was survived by his 3 children, Beth Anne (Donald) Fortney, Bobby G. Burns Jr. (Marianne) and Arley Alan (Regina) Burns; grandchildren, Joseph Rodocker (Candace), Jamie Burns (Zachary), Bryan Burns (Renae), Donald Fortney 1I, and Matthew Fortney; 4 great grandchildren Jeray and Honest Rodocker, Braxton Burns and Liam Crawford. He also left a very dear friend Delma Carpenter, Friends and family may gather on Thursday from 5-7 pm in the Schneeberger Funeral Home where services will be Friday, September 1, 2017 at 11 am with Pastor E. Keith Stephens officiating. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery, Louisville, Ohio. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Grace Fellowship Church 6282 Nave St. Canton 44706.
