Daniel B. Clymore
September 2, 1933 - July 19, 2015
Daniel Bradley Clymore, Jr. Of Louisville, Ohio, son of Dr. Bradley (”Doc”) Clymore and Faye Wilkins Clymore, died on July 19, 2015, after suffering a lengthy illness of dementia. Born Sept. 2, 1933 in Washington, Ill., he lived a long life full of love and joy. Dan is survived by his wife, Pamela; daughters, Jacquelyn Clymore, husband Vaughn Greene and three sons: Daniel, Griffin and Carson; Katheryn Aral, husband Tim and daughter, Sierra; step-son, Lance Galentine, wife Lisa, and children Garrett and Maggie. Dan grew up in small town America. He attended Knox College, graduating with a degree in Engineering, and served in the Army in El Paso, Texas. He worked as a Metallurgical Engineer in New Castle, Ind., and then as the Chief of Metallurgy at Babcock and Wilcox (then Alliance Tube) in Alliance, Ohio. After retirement he was a Metallurgical consultant and traveled the world. As in any life, there were ups and downs, joys and sorrows. Dan had a great sense of humor and especially loved a good joke. His greatest joy came from the many hours he spent with his family and most particularly his grandchildren. Dan's daughters want to express their great love and appreciation to Pam for her love and support of their father, their joyous life together and especially in his final years as they managed the tragedy of dementia. And all of his family want to thank him for being such a terrific husband, dad, and grandfather teaching by word and example: right from wrong, how to work hard, play hard, and to know when to “hold ‘em and when to fold ‘em”. He lived each day with a great love of his Country and family and conducted himself with grace and dignity. He will be greatly missed! The family would like to express sincere “thanks” to St. Joseph's Care Center and to Crossroads Hospice for their care and support not only to Dan, but to his family as well.
