Deloris B. Shumaker Obituary (1933 - 2019)

Deloris B. (Springston,Vorhies) Shumaker, 86, entered into Heaven on Friday, June 14, 2019, at the Avenue of Wooster. She was born in Arnoldsburg, West Virginia on April 30, 1933 to the late Jewel and Anna (Starcher)Springston. Deloris graduated from Atwater High School in 1951. Although Deloris retired from United Bank, she always kept busy with her love for baking, filling out crossword puzzles, listening to country music and traveling. Deloris is preceded in death by husband, Mead Shumaker, ex-husband Donald Vorhies, son, Daniel L. Vorhies and siblings Shelby Sedgwick, Otis Springston and Dorothy McClaskey. Dee is survived by daughter, Denise (Scott) Favalon, siblings, Jack(Leona) Springston, Cook and Chris Springston and Sue (Wonza) Cope. Also surviving are grandchildren, Lisa (Aaron) Holbrook, Michael (Sarah) Vorhies, Rachel, Jess, and Anna Favalon. She is also survived by great-grandchildren, Ruthie and Brayden Vorhies as well as Teagan and Rowan Holbrook. Family and Friends will be received from 10am to Noon on Thursday, June 20, 2019 at Schneeberger Funeral Home, 2222 Fulton Rd. N.W., Canton, Ohio 44709. Funeral services to follow at Noon with Pastor Donny Varney of Grace Church presiding. Final resting place will be Henry Warstler Cemetery, 2633 55th St NE, Canton, Ohio, 44721.
