Harold E. Fockler

May 19, 1928 - June 9, 2016

Harold Fockler, 88, passed away suddenly on Thursday, June 9th due to an accident at home. He was born in Louisville to Homer and Helen (Lesh) Fockler. He was a graduate of Louisville High School and a member of the U.S Air Force. He married Elsie Ann (Homan) and they recently celebrated their 67th wedding anniversary. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Dawn Fockler. He is survived by his wife Elsie, daughter Denise (Paul) Snyder, son Kim Fockler and daughter Darla (Denny) Ross. Also, survived by grandchildren Eric Fockler, Allison (Chris) Tillett, Ashley (Mike) Roberts, Lindsey (Brian) Earlenbaugh, Tyler Ross and Madison Ross. Great grandchildren Ashley Tillett, Madison Earlenbaugh, Hannah Earlenbaugh, Wesley Fockler, Austin Earlenbaugh, Ella Tillett, Olivia Earlenbaugh, Mya Tillett and Mason Tillet. Harold’s career as an electrician lasted for 40 years and retired in 1990. He was a long time member of Church of the Savior. He was also a member of the North Canton Elks. He was an avid boater, loved cooking, enjoyed making things but most of all loved sharing his time and love with his family and friends. There will be a private service for family only and no calling hours. Harold’s wish was to have a celebration of his life with family and friends. It will be held at Arrowhead Golf Club on Thursday, June 16th at 5:30, food and drinks will be provided.
