Harriett Mae Larson Obituary (1935 - 2016)

Harriett Mae Smith Larson was born 2/25/1935 to Harry M. and Doris Vivian (Zeppernick) Smith in Alliance, Ohio.She passed on 4/20/2016 at the age of 81. Harriett graduated in 1952 from Lincoln High School. On 3/15/1953 she married SSGT. Thomas E. Larson at Eglin Air Force Base in Ft. Walton Beach, Florida. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Tom. Also survived by her daughter, Melissa (Terrance) Garner of Canton, two sons, Michael (Becky) of Galloway, OH and Eric (Diana) of Leesburg, VA.She has two grandsons, Andrew Herrick of Canton and Alex (fiancée Erin McBride) Herrick of New Albany, OH. Harriett was a homemaker when her children were young returning to the work force as they entered college. She was employed by Printz Florist, Timken Mercy Emergency Physicians and retiring from North Canton Medical Center.Harriett enjoyed her card clubs with her girlfriends, travel, sewing, knitting and reading.She was a member of the Whipple Heights Garden Club and liked tending to her flower gardens. The family would like to thank Dr. Soto, Dr. Garton, Dr. Simmons and Dr. Krishna for the many years of excellent care, the staff of the CCU Unit at Mercy Hospital for their excellent care especially Diane, Debbie and Leah who helped facilitate her journey. There will be no services per Harriett's wishes. There will be a Celebration of Life Open House for family and friends on Sunday, April 24, 2016 from 1-4pm at the Woodlawn Village Clubhouse, 2601Woodlawn Circle NW, Canton,44708.
