Marcella A Mitseff (Gumpf), age 91, died peacefully after a short illness, on January 24, at Aultman Hospital. Marcella was born April 26, 1929 in Canton to Christian and Jane Lucius. She graduated from Washington High School and was a bookkeeper at Martin Sound Systems. Predeceased include her parents, husband Richard Gumpf, husband Michael Mitseff, sisters and brothers, Louis Lucius, Bud Lucius, Eleanor Piper, Theresa McQuire, Bertille Beaber and Dorothy Sapp. Surviving are her 4 children and their spouses, Jeffrey (Naoko) Gumpf, Catherine(Garry) Allen, Susan (Don) Houser, Rebecca (Rick) Smith. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She spent the last 5 years of her life at The Danbury Assisted Living in Massillon. Even though Covid kept the family away for many months, we all kept in constant contact by phone and celebrated her 91st birthday from outside a window. She was a strong, independent woman and will be greatly missed by her family.
