Richard W. "Dick" Yackey Obituary (1923 - 2016)

Richard "Dick" Yackey, age 92 passed away on March 10th at the Canton Regency. He was born in Dover, Ohio, son of the late Adam and Edith Yackey. He was a graduate of Miami University and worked for many years as controller of the former R & J Furniture company and other local companies. He served in the Air Force during World War 11. He is survived, son and daughter-in-law Jim and Kathy Yackey of Orange Park, Florida, son and daughter-in-law Robert and Cindy Yackey of Waynesburg, Ohio., daughter Debra Ledford of Canal Fulton. 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He was an avid golfer, a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, North Canton Elks, and North Canton Eagles. Following cremation, a graveside service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to Habitat for Humanity or to the Trinity United Church of Christ. A special Thanks to Crossroads Hospice and the Canton Regency.
