Thomas N. Kourouniotis Obituary (1956

Thomas N Kourouniotis 61 of Canton Ohio, passed away unexpectedly from an unforeseen health issue early Friday morning December 8th, 2017. Thomas was born in Stemnitsa Greece on November 17th, 1956. He’s the son of late Nikolaos and Olga (Frentzos) Kourouniotis. Thomas was a devoted father, son, and brother who enjoyed being around his family. Well known for his hard work, Thomas was employed by Akron Central Engraving for 35 plus years, willing to take on any task that was given to him. Thomas was survived by his two children Kristina (Jason) Hoffner and Matthew (Heather) Kourouniotis. His two siblings Katina (Kim) Marker and Theodore (Heidi) Kourouniotis. Along with several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Coming to the United States at the young age of 14 Thomas was always willing to do what he could to help out the family whether helping with household chores or helping pay bills. Thomas quickly grew a passion and appreciation for automobiles. Often seen cruising in his 69 Pontiac Firebird convertible or tinkering in the garage. Nothing meant more to Thomas then family. He loved his brother and sister and was extremely loyal to helping take care of his mother Olga. Always willing to take her places when needed, and helping maintain her house and yard. The only thing he wanted in return was her company and a good home cooked meal. But nothing put a bigger smile on his face than seeing his two children. He loved taking them fishing, to the movies, teaching them which tool to use on a car or just easily sitting around the dinner table. When with his children all his troubles disappeared. Thomas was deeply loved, and his loss will leave a tremendous hole in the hearts of many. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made towards a memorial service at a later date.
