William D. "Bill" Goodwin Sr.

Bill Goodwin Sr.
age 71, of Canton, went to be with the Lord Friday, September 22, 2017. He retired from Stark Ceramics and also worked for Midas Muffler. Memberships include the American Legion Post # 44 and First Baptist Church in Canton. He served his country during the Vietnam War in the U.S. Marine Corps. Preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Ellen Goodwin; sister, Charlotte Pinion and brother, Robert Goodwin.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Joyce; children, Bill Goodwin Jr., Mark Goodwin, and Michelle Goodwin; sister, Carol Day and brother, Butch (Mary) Goodwin; many nieces and nephews. Services will be Saturday September 30, 2017 at 11 am at First Baptist Church, 4110- 38th St. N.W. Canton, OH 44718 with Pastor Kevin Thomas officiating. Military honors will follow the service. The family will receive friends one hour before the service from 10-11 am. The family suggests memorials in his memory be made to the church.
